MarkMyWords is a Chrome browser extension that lets you highlight and search text on any webpage. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is stored, and what is never collected or shared.
We collect no personal data. MarkMyWords does not collect, transmit, or store any information on external servers. There are no analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or third-party tracking of any kind.
MarkMyWords stores a small amount of data exclusively on your own device using Chrome’s built-in storage APIs:

This data is used solely to restore your highlights and preferences when you reopen the extension popup. It is never read by anyone other than the extension itself.

The extension does not use these permissions to read your browsing history, capture screenshots, transmit page content, or access any data outside of what is needed to perform text highlighting on the active tab.
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any data to third parties — because we never collect any data in the first place.
MarkMyWords does not integrate with, load resources from, or communicate with any third-party service, server, or API.
MarkMyWords does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy is updated, the “Last updated” date at the top of this document will reflect the change. Continued use of the extension after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
